Air Arabia reports Dh278 million net profit for Q1 2026

## Financial Performance

Air Arabia, the largest budget airline in the Middle East and North Africa, reported a net profit of Dh278 million for the first quarter of 2026. This represents a 22% decrease from the Dh355 million profit recorded in the same period last year. The decline is attributed to regional conflicts leading to airspace closures and operational restrictions.

## Revenue and Passenger Statistics

Despite the challenges, the airline's revenue increased by 1% to Dh1.8 billion compared to the first quarter of 2025. Air Arabia transported 4.7 million passengers, a 5% drop from the previous year, but the average seat load factor improved to 86%.

## Operational Resilience

Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani highlighted the airline's resilience and ability to adapt to changing conditions. The multi-hub model and cost management strategies helped mitigate the impact of disruptions.

## Fleet and Recognition

During this period, Air Arabia operated 90 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan. The airline was also recognized by Forbes Middle East as one of the Top 100 Most Valuable Companies in 2026.

## Future Outlook

Looking forward, the airline remains optimistic despite ongoing uncertainties affecting global supply chains and fuel prices. Air Arabia is committed to maintaining operational efficiency and delivering value to its customers.
