Abu Dhabi now requires digital registration for off-plan property interest

The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) has introduced a digital system for registering Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in off-plan property projects. This initiative is facilitated through the Madhmoun platform.

## Enhanced Investor Protection

Under the new regulations, developers must register EOIs online, with funds placed in a government-managed escrow account. This ensures secure handling and monitoring of payments, reducing risks associated with manual processes.

## First Project Implementation

The first project utilizing this system is Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana. The digital process also includes a streamlined refund mechanism if necessary.

## Goals of the New System

The changes aim to enhance transparency and regulation in Abu Dhabi's real estate sector, providing a safer investment environment and maintaining efficient processes for developers.
