Ferrari’s first electric car sells for record $40 million at auction

## Historic Auction Sale

Ferrari's inaugural electric vehicle, the Luce 'Chassis 0', has set a new auction record by selling for $40 million. This sale took place during the Monterey Car Week in California, organized by RM Sotheby's. The entire amount will benefit The Ferrari Foundation, supporting educational initiatives.

## Unique Design and Features

The Luce 'Chassis 0' is part of Ferrari's Tailor Made program, featuring a distinctive Madreperla Semi-Gloss finish that changes color under different lighting. The interior boasts Perla Le Mans metallic leather, with unique design elements replacing traditional black.

## Ferrari's Electric Vision

Introduced in May, the Luce marks Ferrari's entry into the electric vehicle market. Designed in collaboration with Jony Ive's studio, the car offers over 1,000 horsepower and a four-door configuration. Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna emphasized the car's originality in design and performance.
