## Expanding Economic Partnerships
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is actively broadening its global economic partnerships through Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs). These agreements are central to the UAE's strategy to enhance its role as a major trade and investment hub.
## Strategic Goals
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlights that these partnerships aim to deepen economic integration with international partners, fostering new opportunities in trade, investment, and industrial collaboration. The UAE's long-term goal is to diversify its economy and reduce reliance on oil revenues.
## Record Achievements
Since September 2021, the UAE has successfully concluded 38 CEPAs, marking a significant achievement in a short period. These agreements are designed to facilitate sustainable partnerships and solidify the UAE's position as a preferred destination for foreign direct investment (FDI).
## Benefits of CEPAs
The CEPAs offer numerous advantages, such as reducing or eliminating customs duties, simplifying access to international markets, and enhancing competitiveness through fair trade practices. They also aim to streamline customs procedures and provide clearer regulatory frameworks.
## Future Aspirations
Looking ahead, the UAE plans to continue expanding its CEPA program to boost non-oil trade and attract more foreign investment. The country envisions becoming a global capital for investment and economic innovation over the next 50 years.
