## Box Office Success in India
Christopher Nolan's latest film, "The Odyssey," has achieved remarkable success in India, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark within just six days of its release. This makes it the second Nolan film to reach this milestone in the country, following "Oppenheimer." The film, starring Matt Damon, had an impressive opening day, surpassing the first-day earnings of Nolan's previous films like "Dunkirk," "Tenet," "Oppenheimer," and "Interstellar."
By the seventh day, "The Odyssey" had collected Rs 6.15 crore net in India, bringing its total net earnings to Rs 90.30 crore and gross collections to Rs 107.72 crore. The film's performance saw a slight dip of 5% from the previous day's earnings. The English version of the film has been the most popular, contributing significantly to the total earnings, while the Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil versions have also added to the box office numbers.
## Global Performance
Internationally, "The Odyssey" has also made a strong impact, with worldwide earnings reaching $322 million. In North America, the film has grossed $181 million, maintaining a lead over "Oppenheimer" at the same stage in its release. "The Odyssey" earned $18.05 million on a recent Wednesday in North America, marking a 16% decrease from the previous day, but still keeping it ahead of "Oppenheimer," which had earned $10.6 million on its first Wednesday.
## Star-Studded Cast
Based on the ancient Greek epic by Homer, "The Odyssey" follows the journey of King Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, as he attempts to return home after the Trojan War. The film features a star-studded cast including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron.
