## New Visa Policy Announced
The United States has introduced a visa restriction policy targeting foreign nationals linked to far-left terrorist networks. This move, announced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, aims to prevent individuals involved in supporting or facilitating political violence from entering the country.
## Policy Details
The restrictions apply to those who have supported or incited terrorism, engaged in violent criminal activities, or provided logistical support to such groups. The policy is part of broader efforts to disrupt networks that could lead to criminal activities.
## Legal Framework
Implemented under Section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the policy allows the US to deny entry to individuals whose presence might adversely affect foreign policy.
## International Cooperation
The announcement followed a ministerial meeting on political terrorism, attended by representatives from 67 countries. Rubio emphasized the need for international cooperation to address the transnational threat posed by far-left extremist groups.
## Historical Context
The initiative builds on efforts started under the Trump administration to counter far-left terrorism. The US aims to develop infrastructure and partnerships to combat these threats effectively.
## Global Participation
Delegations from Europe, Asia, and the Western Hemisphere participated in the meeting, with Israel being the sole Middle Eastern country represented.
