## IHCL's New Strategy

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the parent company of Taj Hotels, is restructuring its operations into two distinct business verticals. This move is part of its "Accelerate 2030" strategy, aiming to expand its portfolio to 700 hotels worldwide by 2030.

## Business Divisions

IHCL's new structure divides its operations into "Traditional Businesses" and "Growth Businesses." The Traditional Businesses will include well-established brands like Taj, Claridges Collection, and Vivanta. Meanwhile, the Growth Businesses will focus on newer brands such as Ginger and ama Stays & Trails.

## Leadership Changes

To support this reorganization, IHCL has appointed Gaurav Pokhariyal as Chief Operating Officer for Traditional Businesses and Prabhat Verma as Chief People Officer. These appointments are effective immediately.

## Expansion Milestones

In the first quarter of FY2027, IHCL signed 20 new hotels and opened 11 properties, bringing its total to 645 hotels. The company also reached a milestone of 150 Taj-branded hotels. Internationally, it expanded with new openings in Frankfurt and South Africa.

## Future Goals

With 263 hotels currently in development, IHCL is on track to meet its target of operating 700 hotels by 2030, aiming to double its revenue to Dh6.4 billion and achieve a 20% return on capital employed.
