Paid parking begins at Sharjah’s Aljada. Here’s what drivers will pay

## New Parking System

Sharjah's Aljada community has launched a new paid parking system, effective from July 15. This initiative, in partnership with Parkin, introduces a ticketless system using Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology to manage parking without physical tickets.

## Parking Fees

On-street parking along East Boulevard costs Dh6.30 per hour, available 24/7. Off-street parking spaces are priced at Dh4.20 per hour from 8am to midnight. Retail visitors at The Boulevard, Tiraz, and Misk enjoy two free hours, after which a Dh10 per hour fee applies.

## Resident and Visitor Options

Residents retain their allocated parking spaces, but any extra usage falls under the new paid system. Seasonal subscriptions are available for eligible areas, managed via Parkin's digital platform.

## Payment and Management

Payments can be made through Parkin's digital channels, with the system automatically recognizing vehicles. This rollout aims to enhance parking availability and management across Aljada, a growing residential and commercial hub in Sharjah.
