## Overview of Dubai's Road Developments

Dubai is making significant investments in road infrastructure to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is spearheading several major projects, some of which are already partially open, while others are nearing completion.

## Key Projects and Their Impact

### Latifa bint Hamdan Corridor

A new Dh2 billion project, the Latifa bint Hamdan Corridor, is set to link major roads like Sheikh Zayed Road and Emirates Road. Scheduled for completion by 2028, it aims to serve over 650,000 residents and accommodate 130,000 vehicle trips daily. This corridor will cut travel time between Umm Al Sheif Street and Emirates Road from 33 to 15 minutes.

### Hessa Street Development (Phase 2)

Phase 2 of the Hessa Street Development Project covers a 3km stretch and includes bridges and a tunnel. Once completed, it will double road capacity and reduce travel times from 24 to 5 minutes, benefiting around 650,000 residents.

### Dubai Harbour Direct Access Bridge

This bridge, now 90% complete, provides direct access from Sheikh Zayed Road to Dubai Harbour, reducing travel time in the area from 12 to 3 minutes.

### Oud Maitha Road and Al Asayel Street Upgrade

Part of the Sheikh Rashid Corridor Development Project, this upgrade includes new intersections and roads, enhancing connectivity and increasing road capacity by 50%.

### Umm Suqeim Street Improvement

Approximately 70% complete, this project is part of the Umm Suqeim–Al Qudra Corridor, aiming to improve integration with major routes and serve over a million residents.

### Al Qudra Road Development

With several new bridges already operational, this project will increase vehicle capacity and reduce waiting times by 85% upon completion.

### Dubai Islands and Bur Dubai Bridge Connection

The Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project includes a new bridge over Dubai Creek, improving connectivity and reducing travel times significantly by 2030.
