Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike, now in its 17th day, has drawn significant attention and support from various public figures. The protest, which began on June 20, is part of a larger movement led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) against the NEET paper leak and its impact on students.
## Swara Bhasker's Visit
Actress Swara Bhasker recently visited Wangchuk at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, expressing her solidarity with the cause. She shared images on social media, thanking Wangchuk for his efforts to secure a better future for children.
## Support from Prominent Figures
Other notable personalities, including actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, writer Arundhati Roy, and economist Jayati Ghosh, have also voiced their support. They issued a joint statement urging Wangchuk to end his fast for health reasons while commending his dedication.
## Protest Demands
The protestors are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and compensation for families affected by the NEET-UG paper leak. They have planned a peaceful march to Parliament on July 20, coinciding with the start of the Monsoon Session.
## Health Concerns
Concerns over the health of the protestors are growing, especially after AISA activist Deepak was hospitalized. Supporters have urged the government to address the demands to prevent further health risks.
