The Sharjah Academy for Police Sciences has introduced the sixth edition of its Scientific Research Award, offering a total prize fund of Dh600,000. This initiative aims to foster innovative research in areas crucial to future security, such as artificial intelligence, cybercrime, and disaster management.

## Focus Areas and Participation

The award targets three main categories: security foresight, criminal investigations, and community protection. Researchers from the UAE and globally are encouraged to participate, with submissions open until October 11. Winners will be announced in December, with cash prizes for the top three entries in each category.

Major General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani emphasized the award's role in enhancing scientific research and developing practical solutions for security challenges. The initiative aligns with Sharjah's commitment to science and knowledge, supported by the directives of local leadership.

Participants can submit up to two papers, and intellectual property rights will transfer to the Academy upon approval.
