## A Century-Old Gem

Olympia Coffee House, a 108-year-old establishment in Mumbai's Colaba district, has long been a beloved spot for locals. Known for its traditional charm, the cafe offers a slice of old Mumbai with its simple interiors and classic menu.

## Hollywood Visits

Recently, Olympia hosted Hollywood celebrities Christopher Nolan, Tom Holland, and Matt Damon. The trio visited the cafe during their trip to Mumbai for the premiere of "The Odyssey." They enjoyed the local favorite, chai and bun maska, in a low-key visit that lasted about 10 to 15 minutes.

## Rich History

Founded in 1918 by Syed Mohammed Merab, Olympia began as a neighborhood store selling everyday provisions. Over the years, it evolved into a popular cafe, maintaining its old-world character despite the changing surroundings. In the 1950s, ownership passed to four employees, whose families continue to run it today.

## A Resilient Survivor

Olympia has witnessed many changes in Mumbai, including surviving the 2008 attacks. During the crisis, staff ensured the safety of customers by securing the cafe until help arrived. This resilience has cemented its place as a cherished institution in the city.
