## New Cashless Parking System
Dubai Harbour has launched a cashless parking system at its new multi-storey car park, allowing drivers to pay automatically via their Salik accounts. This initiative eliminates the need for cash, cards, or parking machines.
## Collaboration and Features
The system is a result of a partnership between Salik, Dubai's toll operator, and Shamal Holding, the owner of Dubai Harbour. The new Harbour West Car Park offers 845 parking spaces across nine levels, including a rooftop area. It serves visitors to Dubai Harbour and nearby locations like Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence.
## Enhanced Mobility Experience
Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, emphasized that this collaboration is part of Salik's strategy to evolve into a comprehensive mobility and digital payments platform. The aim is to provide smarter, seamless solutions that enhance the customer experience.
## How It Works
Parking payments are processed through drivers' existing Salik accounts using technology developed with Parkonic. This allows motorists to enter and exit the car park without stopping to pay through traditional methods.
## Growing Demand
The new parking facility, spanning over 31,000 square meters, is designed to meet the increasing demand for parking as Dubai Harbour continues to attract more visitors. Abdulla Binhabtoor, CEO of Shamal Holding, highlighted the importance of this partnership in enhancing the visitor experience at Dubai Harbour.
