Indian Embassy in Kuwait temporarily limits passport, visa services to emergencies until July 19

## Temporary Service Suspension

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has announced a temporary halt on routine passport, visa, and consular services, limiting them to emergency cases only until July 19, 2026. This decision is attributed to administrative reasons.

## Emergency Services Available

During this period, the embassy will continue to process urgent requests. These include Tatkal passport issuance, NRI certificates, short-validity passports for those with expiring Civil IDs, emergency certificates, and e-visas.

## Routine Services on Hold

Regular applications, such as normal passport and visa applications and passport attestations, will not be processed. Additionally, all Indian Consular Application Centres in Kuwait are closed until further notice.

## Advisory for Indian Nationals

Indian nationals requiring emergency assistance should visit the Embassy’s Consular Wing between 9am and 12 noon with necessary documents. The embassy advises checking official updates before visiting service centers. This measure is temporary and does not affect India’s visa policy or travel regulations.
