Abu Dhabi student crowned UAE champion of 10th Arab Reading Challenge

## Dana Adel Al Zarooni Triumphs

Dana Adel Al Zarooni, a student from Abu Dhabi, has been named the UAE champion in the 10th Arab Reading Challenge. She emerged victorious among over 830,000 participants from various schools across the nation.

## Prestigious Ceremony

The award ceremony took place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, where Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presented the award. The event was attended by Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, the UAE Minister of Education, along with other dignitaries, educators, and families of the finalists.

## Record Participation

This year's challenge saw unprecedented participation, with 40,286,428 students from 60 countries taking part. The initiative involved 138,426 schools and was supported by 161,507 supervisors, marking it as the largest reading initiative globally.

## Promoting Arabic Language and Culture

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Arab Reading Challenge aims to foster a love for reading, enhance creative thinking, and promote the Arabic language. It encourages students to embrace cultural diversity and develop their potential.

## Other Notable Achievements

In addition to Dana's win, Hamad Mohammed bin Al Hashmi from Sharjah was the runner-up. The event also recognized Yousef Mohammed Hamed, a visually challenged student, as the winner in the People of Determination Category.
