Vir Das leads star-studded line-up as Dubai Comedy Festival returns this October: Full line-up, ticket costs revealed

## Festival Overview

The Dubai Comedy Festival is set to return from October 9 to 18, 2024, featuring over 40 shows in eight languages. The event will transform various venues across the city into stages for a diverse array of comedic performances.

## Headliners and Performers

Indian comedian Vir Das, known for his insightful humor, will headline the festival, closing it with a performance at Coca-Cola Arena on October 18. British comedian Mo Gilligan will also perform at Dubai Opera on October 12 as part of his world tour.

Other notable acts include Indian comedians Jamie Lever, Munawar Faruqui, and Amit Tandon. Lever will debut on October 10 at Emirates Theatre, while Faruqui and Tandon will perform at Dubai Opera on October 11 and 18, respectively.

## International and Regional Acts

The festival will also feature Lebanese comedian John Achkar, Northern Irish comic Shane Todd, and Russian comedian Alexander Merkul. Achkar will perform on October 17, Todd will debut at New Covent Garden Theatre, and Merkul will present an improvisational show on October 15.

Kuwaiti theatrical production Mohandis Al Thauq Al Aam will open the festival with performances on October 9 and 10 at Dubai Opera.

Ticket registration is currently open, with sales expected to start soon on the festival's official website. Prices begin at Dh125, varying by performance and venue. More performers and events will be announced closer to the festival dates.
