## Challenges for Other Continents

Argentina's squad mostly consists of players who began their careers in Europe, exemplified by Lionel Messi's early move to Barcelona. Brazil, despite hiring European coach Carlo Ancelotti, failed to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 1990, losing to Norway.

The United States and Asian teams also struggled, with the U.S. exiting after a heavy defeat to Belgium and only Australia and Japan advancing past the group stage. Colombia's hopes were dashed by Switzerland, who reached their first quarter-final since 1954.
