## A Celestial Spectacle
Tonight, February 21, 2026, Dubai's Al Qudra Desert will host a rare astronomical event—a planetary parade. Organized by the Al Thuraya Astronomy Center, this event offers a unique opportunity to witness a lineup of six planets in the night sky.
## Planets in Alignment
The planetary parade features Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Venus will be the brightest, easily visible without any equipment. Jupiter will display its cloud bands through a telescope, while Mars will shine with its distinct red color. Saturn, visible early in the evening, will show its rings before setting. Uranus and Neptune, usually invisible to the naked eye, will be observable through telescopes.
## Event Highlights
The evening begins at 6 pm with an introduction, followed by Iftar and prayers at 6.20 pm. Saturn observation starts at 6.45 pm, so early arrival is recommended. Expert talks will discuss the connection between Ramadan and lunar observations. By 7.45 pm, a detailed explanation of the planetary alignment will be provided, followed by a Q&A session.
## Capture the Moment
Attendees can use telescopes to view the Moon, Uranus, and Jupiter, and explore deep-sky objects like nebulae and star clusters. Phone photography through telescopes is also available, allowing participants to capture these cosmic moments.
## Limited Spaces
With limited spots, this event is expected to fill quickly. It promises a memorable experience, blending the wonders of the universe with the spirit of Ramadan. The event runs from 6 to 10 pm at Al Qudra Desert, Dubai. Bookings can be made at althurayaastronomycenter.ae.
