## Exceptional IB Results in UAE
International Baccalaureate (IB) schools in the UAE have reported outstanding results this year, even though final exams were canceled due to regional conflicts. The IB introduced a Non-Exam Contingency Measure, assessing students based on coursework, internal assessments, and predicted grades. This approach led to several students achieving near-perfect scores, with some reaching the maximum of 45 points.
## Consistency and Support
Students like Aadit Chandrani from Dubai International Academy (DIA) attribute their success to consistent effort and strong support from teachers. Chandrani, who scored a perfect 45, emphasized the importance of steady work throughout the two-year program. He plans to study mathematics at the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Arnav Jayaswal, another top scorer, highlighted the role of consistent effort across assignments and assessments. He will pursue medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
## Long-Term Preparation
Leo Avayan from Swiss International Scientific School Dubai scored 44 points, crediting his success to early preparation and a mindset that views the IB Diploma Programme as a marathon. He will study artificial intelligence in France.
## First Graduating Cohort Success
Richard Linnik, from Bloom World Academy's first graduating class, achieved 42 points. He praised the support from his teachers and peers and will attend the London School of Economics.
## Balancing Academics and Applications
Anusha Talwalkar from Ambassador International Academy scored 42 points, balancing coursework with university applications. She plans to study Product Design at the University of Leeds.
## Sibling Success
Sisters Jennifer and Jacqueline Sabatini topped their class at Bateen World Academy with scores of 45 and 42, respectively. They emphasized organization and understanding over memorization. Both will continue their studies at Khalifa University, focusing on Cell and Molecular Biology and Biomedical Engineering.
