## Annual Bull Run Tradition

The San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain, kicked off with its famous bull run, attracting thousands of participants and spectators. This year, the event began on July 7, 2026, with runners taking on the challenge of staying ahead of six bulls released daily at 8:00 a.m.

## The Course

The bulls, originating from the Fuente Ymbro ranch, charge through an 850-meter route in the old town, ending at the bullring. Participants, dressed in traditional white outfits with red sashes and neckerchiefs, attempt to run close to the bulls without being injured.

## Spectacle and Safety

The event is not only a physical challenge but also a visual spectacle. Many spectators watch from balconies and barricades, while millions more tune in via live broadcasts. The daring runners often use rolled newspapers to encourage the bulls, adding to the excitement and danger of the event.
