Indian passport services in UAE: Consulate in Dubai stops walk-ins

## New Appointment System

The Indian Consulate in Dubai has announced a shift to an appointment-only system for passport, visa, and other consular services. This change, effective immediately, means walk-ins are no longer accepted at the consulate. However, limited walk-in services remain available at the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi from 9 am to 11 am.

## Appointment Booking

Appointments can be booked through the portal book.passportindiauae.com, with slots released at 8 pm for the following day. Services are available from 9 am to 1 pm. Applicants are advised to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time.

## Entry Guidelines

Only applicants with confirmed appointments will be allowed entry, except for minors who must be accompanied by both parents. The entry point for the consulate in Dubai is Gate No. 1, while in Abu Dhabi, it is the main gate on Al Safarat Street.

## Priority and Preparation

Priority will be given to newborns and those needing Emergency Certificates. Applicants should bring completed forms and necessary documents, ensuring all signatures and photos meet the specified requirements. Fees are payable in cash only, and applicants should bring the exact amount.

## Additional Information

The consulate has urged applicants to follow guidelines for efficient service delivery. The new passport fee structure has been in effect since July 1, 2026.
