July brings UAE's hottest weather with temperatures climbing above 43°C

## July Weather Patterns

July is one of the hottest months in the UAE, with temperatures often exceeding 43°C. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) attributes this to thermal low-pressure systems, particularly the Indian monsoon low, which significantly raises temperatures.

## Weather Influences

The eastern mountain ranges and intense daytime heating contribute to the formation of convective clouds, occasionally bringing rainfall to interior regions. The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) may also extend northward in the latter half of the month, potentially leading to more rain-bearing clouds.

## Wind and Humidity

The daily cycle of land and sea breezes affects the weather, with southeasterly winds at night and northerly winds during the day. Active southerly and northwesterly winds can sometimes cause dust and reduced visibility. Humidity levels rise in the mornings, especially in certain areas, creating muggy conditions.

## Temperature Records

Long-term climate data shows average July temperatures range from 34.6°C to 37.2°C, with maximums between 39.7°C and 43.8°C. The highest recorded July temperature was 51.8°C in Mezaira'a in 2017, while the lowest was 16.9°C at Jebel Jais in 2022.
