Etihad Rail allows passengers to travel with pets on UAE passenger trains

## Pet Travel Guidelines

Etihad Rail, the UAE's first passenger train service, now allows passengers to travel with their pets. This new policy applies to domestic animals such as dogs and falcons, provided they are kept in approved carriers. The carrier dimensions must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 23cm and should remain with the passenger throughout the journey. Each passenger is allowed one pet carrier, which counts as their carry-on luggage.

## Assistance Dogs and Mobility Aids

Trained assistance dogs are permitted on board but require advance booking through Etihad Rail's Contact Centre. Families traveling with children can bring a pushchair for each child at no extra cost, as long as it is folded before boarding. Passengers using wheelchairs or mobility aids are accommodated, but only electric wheelchairs with integrated batteries are accepted, and reservations for wheelchair spaces are necessary.

## Prohibited Items

To ensure safety and comfort, certain items are banned from Etihad Rail trains. These include weapons, explosives, flammable substances, illegal drugs, alcohol, and smoking devices. Additionally, bicycles, scooters, and oversized items that obstruct aisles are not allowed. Passengers are encouraged to review the full list of restricted items before traveling.
