In 2025, Dubai awarded Dh1.78 billion in contracts to Emirati small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), marking a 38% increase from the previous year. This growth is part of the Emirati Supplier Programme, which aims to enhance the role of local businesses in both public and private sectors.

## Government and Private Sector Contributions

The contracts were distributed among various entities, with government bodies accounting for Dh1.03 billion. Semi-government entities contributed Dh420.5 million, while the private sector awarded Dh254.9 million. Federal entities added Dh74.6 million to the total.

## Supporting Dubai's Economic Goals

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized that supporting Emirati entrepreneurs is crucial for Dubai's future economic development. The programme aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which focuses on fostering entrepreneurship and sustainable growth.

## Programme Backed by Multiple Entities

The Emirati Supplier Programme is supported by 84 entities and includes 1,070 Emirati establishments. It plays a vital role in expanding procurement opportunities for national businesses, contributing to the emirate's strategic economic objectives.
