## Full Restoration of India-GCC Network
Air India Express has fully reinstated its flight services between India and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, just in time for the summer travel season. This move comes after recent disruptions in the region's airspace.
## Resumption of Key Routes
Flights between Kozhikode and Salalah resumed on July 2, while Kozhikode-Kuwait services restarted on July 3. The Bengaluru-Kuwait route began operations on July 4. Initially, these routes will operate with limited frequency, gradually increasing to meet demand.
## Expanded Operations
The airline has also resumed flights between Muscat and Mangaluru from July 3. Currently, Air India Express operates approximately 40 weekly flights from Muscat to various Indian destinations.
## New Routes and Increased Frequencies
In addition to restoring previous routes, Air India Express has introduced new services such as Navi Mumbai-Abu Dhabi and Guwahati-Dubai. The airline now operates around 780 weekly flights between India and the GCC region, connecting 18 Indian cities to 13 destinations across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
## Strategic Importance of West Asia
West Asia remains a crucial market for Air India Express, with the airline operating from key airports in Oman, including Muscat and Salalah. The restoration and expansion of services are part of the airline's strategy to strengthen its presence in the region.
