DXB braces for summer rush with 3 million passengers in early July

## Anticipated Passenger Surge

Dubai International Airport is gearing up for a significant increase in passenger traffic, expecting around 3 million travelers in the first half of July. The surge is attributed to UAE residents embarking on summer holidays, with daily traffic anticipated to exceed 200,000 passengers.

## Peak Travel Days

The busiest day is projected to be July 12, with over 225,000 passengers. To manage this influx, Dubai Airports has implemented a summer readiness plan in collaboration with its partners to ensure smooth operations.

## Travel Recommendations

Passengers are advised to arrive no earlier than three hours before their flights and to utilize online check-in options. Emirates passengers can also take advantage of home, city, and self-service check-in facilities to minimize wait times.

## Security and Convenience Measures

Travelers are reminded to pack power banks and spare batteries in their hand luggage to avoid delays during security checks. Additionally, families with children over 12 can use Smart Gates for faster passport control.

## Enhanced Passenger Experience

Terminal 3 features an interactive installation, "I Heart DXB," allowing passengers to upload selfies and participate in a digital portrait of Dubai. The airport also offers enhanced support for travelers with special needs, including dedicated accessibility routes and an Assisted Travel Lounge in Terminal 2.

## Ongoing Travel Pressure

The airport expects continued high traffic throughout early July, driven by residents leaving for vacations, families traveling post-school term, and strong transfer traffic on long-haul routes.
