## Overview
As July 2026 begins, the UAE is experiencing intense heat and rising humidity. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) and AccuWeather predict that these conditions will persist throughout the month, continuing a trend from June.
## El Niño's Impact
The NCM forecasts a 98% chance of El Niño conditions from July to November 2026. This phenomenon, characterized by the warming of the Pacific Ocean, could lead to higher temperatures and altered rainfall patterns. Historically, El Niño has been linked to weaker northwesterly winds, which typically provide cooling relief during the summer.
## Temperature Predictions
AccuWeather provides detailed forecasts for various emirates:
- **Dubai**: Daily highs between 39°C and 44°C, with an average of 41°C. Nighttime temperatures are expected to hover around 32°C.
- **Abu Dhabi**: Highs ranging from 39°C to 43°C, averaging 41°C, with lows around 29°C.
- **Al Ain**: Slightly cooler, with highs from 34°C to 37°C, averaging 36°C.
- **Sharjah**: Similar to Dubai, with highs near 41°C and lows around 26°C.
In the northern emirates, temperatures are expected to range from 35°C to 42°C, with Fujairah experiencing milder conditions and occasional light rain.
## Humidity and RealFeel
Humidity significantly affects how temperatures are perceived. AccuWeather's RealFeel data indicates that perceived temperatures in coastal cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi can be several degrees higher than actual readings. For instance, Dubai's RealFeel has reached 45°C, while actual temperatures remain in the high 30s. The NCM warns of humid nights, especially along the coast, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist in the early mornings.
