Indian passport fees in UAE jump up to 75% from July 1

## New Fee Structure Announced

Starting July 1, 2026, Indian passport fees in the UAE will see a significant increase, as announced by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai. The revised fees will be applicable across all Indian consular services in the UAE, including the new Indian Consular Application Centres.

## Fee Details

The cost for a standard 36-page adult passport will rise from Dh285 to Dh450, while a 60-page passport will now cost Dh630, up from Dh380. Urgent processing under the Tatkal scheme will see fees increase to Dh900 for a 36-page passport and Dh1,080 for a 60-page passport.

## Special Considerations for Minors

Minors under 18 will benefit from reduced rates. A 36-page passport for minors will cost Dh325, with urgent processing priced at Dh775. Children under 8 years old applying for a new passport receive a 10% discount.

## Additional Services and Fees

Emergency Certificates will cost Dh60, and Certificates of Identity Dh180. Other services, such as Police Clearance Certificates, will be charged at Dh145 each. Additional fees, including service provider charges and the Indian Community Welfare Fund fee, will apply.

## Transition to New Service Provider

Regular consular services were paused from June 26 to June 30 to facilitate the transition to a new service provider, Alhind Tours and Travels LLC. Emergency services were available during this period through the Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra.

## Future Announcements

Details regarding services from July 2 onwards are yet to be announced. The public is advised to follow official channels for updates.
