Eid travel rush: Dubai RTA issues Metro advisory, reminds passengers of luggage rules

## Eid Travel Advisory

As the Eid Al Adha holiday approaches, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a travel advisory to help manage the expected surge in travelers. Passengers are encouraged to use the Dubai Metro, particularly the stations at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, to avoid road congestion.

## Metro and Luggage Guidelines

Travelers are reminded to maintain a minimum balance of AED 15 on their nol cards, especially those using Silver cards. Additionally, there is a restriction of two pieces of luggage per passenger on the Metro.

## Emirates Airline Recommendations

Emirates has also advised passengers to anticipate heavy traffic at the airport and recommends arriving at least three hours before flight departure. The airline suggests using early and digital check-in options to minimize wait times and advises being at boarding gates at least 60 minutes before take-off.

## Planning Ahead

Both the RTA and Emirates emphasize the importance of planning ahead to ensure smooth travel during the holiday period. Using public transport like the Metro is encouraged to avoid potential delays caused by road traffic.
