## Event Overview
EFG Hermes, in collaboration with the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), organized an Investor Day at Nasdaq Dubai. The event aimed to strengthen investor confidence and attract investments in Dubai's financial markets. It brought together institutional investors and executives from companies listed on the DFM, with a combined market capitalization exceeding Dh120 billion.
## Focus Areas
The Investor Day concentrated on corporate performance, market access, and long-term investment prospects in Dubai's capital markets. This comes amid changing regional and global market conditions. Meetings were held with senior representatives from 37 investment firms, providing investors with direct access to company management and strategic business plans.
## Market Performance
Hamed Ali, CEO of DFM and Nasdaq Dubai, highlighted the growing investor confidence in Dubai's financial markets. He noted that DFM's average daily trading value reached Dh1.03 billion in early 2026, a 56% increase from the previous year. Institutional investors contributed to 70% of the total trading value.
## Resilience and Engagement
Mohamed Ebeid, Co-CEO of EFG Hermes, emphasized the resilience of UAE-listed companies in maintaining strong fundamentals despite geopolitical and market challenges. EFG Hermes remains committed to investor engagement initiatives to support liquidity and sustain international participation in Dubai's equity markets.
## Recent Transactions
In 2025, EFG Hermes advised on numerous transactions, including 18 equity capital market deals, 16 debt capital market transactions, and eight mergers and acquisitions across the region, involving countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Egypt.
