Dubai approves Dh1.5 billion economic incentives package to boost economic resilience

## New Economic Measures

Dubai has announced a new economic incentive package valued at Dh1.5 billion, aimed at enhancing the emirate's economic resilience and global competitiveness. This initiative, approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is the second package in recent months, bringing the total support to Dh2.5 billion.

## Key Initiatives

The package includes 33 initiatives targeting sectors such as tourism, trade, education, transport, aviation, and customs. These measures will be rolled out over the next three to twelve months. Key components include exemptions from tourism dirham fees, municipal fees on hotel and restaurant sales, and permit-related charges for events.

## Support for Businesses

Businesses will benefit from a two-year extension of membership licenses for companies registered with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises. Additionally, there are exemptions on sales and promotional fees, installment options for customs payments, and an 80% reduction in customs fines.

## Educational and Aviation Sector Benefits

Private educational institutions will see deferred license renewal fees, while there will be reduced fees for renewing civil aviation activity permits. These measures are part of Dubai's broader strategy to transform challenges into growth opportunities.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships and maintaining strong community and business sector engagement.
