## Trump Launches Board of Peace

President Donald Trump has initiated the Board of Peace, a new international body aimed at enhancing global conflict resolution. During its inaugural meeting, Trump expressed his desire for China and Russia to join the board, emphasizing their importance in global peace efforts.

## Invitations Extended

Both China and Russia have been invited to participate, though neither has confirmed their involvement. Trump highlighted his positive relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping, noting his upcoming visit to China in April.

## Oversight of the United Nations

Trump stated that the Board of Peace would oversee the United Nations to ensure its effective operation. He announced a $10 billion U.S. contribution to support the board's mission, which initially focuses on reconstruction in the Gaza Strip.

## Global Participation

Delegates from over 40 countries attended the meeting, but key UN Security Council members like France, Britain, Russia, and China were absent. The European Union has also chosen not to participate. India has received an invitation but has yet to decide.

## Board Composition

The Board of Peace will be guided by a founding Executive Board, including Jared Kushner, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen international cooperation and address global crises.
