## Technical Glitches Impact Students
Class 12 students under India's CBSE board are facing significant challenges due to technical issues with the re-evaluation portal. Many students, including Indian expatriates in the UAE, are unable to access the portal to request a review of their exam results. The problems include login failures, delayed access to answer sheets, and payment processing errors.
## Deadline Extension
In response to widespread complaints, CBSE extended the deadline for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets from May 22 to May 23. Despite this extension, technical issues persisted, prompting CBSE to assure students that a team is working to resolve the problems.
## Fee Reductions
CBSE has reduced re-evaluation fees from Rs 100 to Rs 25 per question and lowered the cost of obtaining scanned answer copies from Rs 700 to Rs 100. These measures aim to make the process more accessible for students.
## Parental Concerns
Parents are increasingly worried about the impact of these issues on university admissions, as many students received lower marks than expected. Some parents have met with school officials to discuss the discrepancies between predicted and actual scores.
## Payment Challenges
Students abroad face additional hurdles with the payment system, which does not accept non-Indian bank cards. This has led to further frustration as students struggle to complete the re-evaluation process.
## Long-term Implications
The ongoing issues have raised concerns about the future prospects of students, particularly regarding university admissions and career opportunities. Many parents and students are calling for further extensions to ensure all students have a fair chance to apply for re-evaluation.
