Grossi addressed the United Nations Security Council, expressing concerns about a recent attack on the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. A drone strike on Sunday resulted in a fire at an electrical generator outside the plant's inner perimeter. Despite the incident, radiation levels remain normal, and no injuries have been reported.

## Call for Restraint

The IAEA chief emphasized the risks associated with military activities targeting nuclear sites. He urged all parties involved in conflicts to exercise maximum restraint and adhere to international humanitarian laws protecting nuclear facilities.

## Ongoing Efforts and Future Plans

Since last year, the IAEA has been evaluating emergency preparedness and response capabilities in the region. Grossi plans to visit the Gulf soon to continue collaborative efforts in ensuring nuclear safety.
