UAE weather update: Dust storm hits Dubai and Abu Dhabi, rough seas expected through the week

## Dust Storm Sweeps Through Dubai and Abu Dhabi

A dust storm has significantly reduced visibility in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, with the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reporting visibility dropping to less than 1000 meters. Residents, especially those with dust allergies, are advised to stay indoors as the dust alert remains in effect until 7pm today.

## Weather Conditions and Forecast

The UAE is experiencing a mix of weather influences, with a weak low-pressure system from the east and a high-pressure system from the west. This combination, along with an upper-air high-pressure ridge, is causing active winds reaching up to 40 km/h. These winds are stirring up dust and creating rough sea conditions.

## Temperature and Sea Conditions

Temperatures are expected to range between 43°C and 45°C in coastal and internal areas, while mountainous regions may see highs between 29°C and 34°C. The Arabian Gulf is anticipated to have rough seas later today, and the Oman Sea will follow suit by evening.

## Outlook for the Week

Dusty conditions and fluctuating temperatures are expected to persist throughout the week. A slight temperature drop is forecast for Thursday, with temperatures rising again on Friday. The NCM advises caution for those planning outdoor activities, especially near the coast, due to the rough sea conditions.
