## New Mosque Inauguration

Dubai has officially opened the Al Bashaer Mosque in Al Barsha South 2, a project led by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD). This new mosque is part of efforts to expand religious facilities in the city.

## Architectural and Community Significance

The mosque, located in Dubai Science Park, reflects traditional Emirati architecture and community values. It occupies a 2,834.54-square-metre area and was constructed with a budget of AED4.89 million, funded by donor Rashad Mohammed Mohammed Sharif Bukhash.

## Capacity and Facilities

Al Bashaer Mosque can host up to 600 worshippers, with designated spaces for 540 men and 60 women. It includes residences for the imam and muezzin, as well as facilities for ablution and accessibility features for People of Determination.

## Strategic Goals

The opening aligns with IACAD's strategic plans to enhance urban development and community wellbeing in Dubai. The mosque aims to serve as a center for worship and social cohesion, reinforcing its cultural and humanitarian role in society.
