## Nationwide Inspection Reveals Violations
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health has closed five healthcare facilities due to serious violations discovered during a recent inspection campaign. The inspections, which took place last month, covered over 1,500 healthcare establishments across the country.
## Regions Affected
The closures impacted facilities located in the Riyadh, Madinah, and Asir regions. Authorities identified 130 violations, including practicing medicine without licenses and performing unauthorized hair transplant procedures.
## Compliance and Safety Efforts
The inspections are part of ongoing efforts to enhance patient safety and healthcare quality under the Healthcare Transformation Programme aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. The ministry reported a compliance rate exceeding 91% among inspected facilities.
## Legal Actions and Public Advisory
Legal proceedings are underway against the violating facilities, with potential penalties including fines up to SR100,000 and prison sentences for unlicensed practitioners. The ministry advises residents to verify the licensing status of healthcare providers and report any violations through the hotline 937.
