## New Partnership for Digital Safety

Creators HQ and Meta have launched a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing digital safety for families using Instagram in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This initiative is the first of its kind in the area and focuses on protecting children and teenagers from online risks.

## Focus on Family Protection

The collaboration coincides with the UAE's "Year of the Family 2026" and seeks to equip families, content creators, and communities with the necessary tools to ensure safer digital experiences. It aims to promote responsible use of technology and social media, particularly Instagram.

## Series of Initiatives

As part of the partnership, a series of events will be organized, starting with the "Parents Assembly with Instagram." This event will guide parents in fostering healthy social media habits for their children and introduce family-oriented content creation practices.

## Advanced Safety Features

The initiative will also highlight Instagram's Teen Accounts, which include features to limit exposure to inappropriate content and enhance parental supervision. Meta's AI-powered age verification technologies will play a role in identifying and protecting underage users.

## Expert Involvement

The program will feature Meta experts and over 50 content creators specializing in family-focused content. Discussions will cover digital safety, privacy, and empowering parents to monitor their children's online activities.

## Building Sustainable Awareness

Hussein Al Atoli from the New Media Academy emphasized the importance of creating a safe digital environment through strategic partnerships. The initiative aims to foster a culture of responsible social media use while preserving societal values.

## Commitment to Safer Communities

The partnership reflects a commitment to building safer digital communities by increasing awareness and promoting healthy digital habits. It aligns with the UAE's vision of a safe and sustainable digital society.
