## First Look at India's High-Speed Rail
India has revealed the initial design of its upcoming bullet train, set to connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This marks a significant step in the country's first high-speed rail project, which is scheduled to launch in 2027.

The 508-kilometer corridor is being developed by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) using Japan's Shinkansen technology, known for its efficiency and safety. The train aims to reduce travel time between the two cities to less than two hours.

The first operational segment, from Ahmedabad to Vapi, is expected to open by August 2027. The full corridor is anticipated to be functional by 2029. The project includes significant infrastructure developments, such as tunnel construction in Mumbai.
