KHDA, Parkin partner to digitise parking access for Dubai schools

## Streamlining Parking for Schools

Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has teamed up with Parkin Company PJSC to modernize parking access for schools in the city. This partnership aims to simplify the process of obtaining parking subscriptions for students and staff by introducing a digital system.

## Real-Time Verification

The new system will replace the current manual approval process with real-time eligibility checks. This change is expected to reduce administrative tasks and enhance the user experience while ensuring data privacy.

## Supporting Education

Parkin is offering discounted parking plans to educational institutions and students, with monthly subscriptions at AED100 and annual ones at AED1,000. This initiative is part of Parkin's broader support for the education sector, including managing parking during peak school hours and events.

## Advancing Digital Transformation

Dr. Amna Al Maazmi from KHDA highlighted that this collaboration aligns with Dubai’s Education 33 Strategy, focusing on digital transformation to improve convenience for the education community. Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali of Parkin emphasized the efficiency gains from removing manual processes.

## Extensive Parking Operations

As of the end of 2025, Parkin manages around 229,000 paid parking spaces in Dubai, with 141 million transactions completed through its digital systems last year.
