## Festival Launch
Thailand has initiated the Thai Fruits & Food Festival 2026 in the UAE, partnering with Al Maya Supermarkets. The event, which began on May 16, 2026, at Al Maya Murooj Supermarket in Dubai, is part of a broader campaign to promote Thai food products in the region.
## Strengthening Trade Relations
The festival underscores Thailand's commitment to enhancing trade ties with UAE retailers. The UAE is a significant market for Thai exports, with food exports reaching $300 million in 2025, marking a steady growth over recent years.
## Showcasing Thai Products
The campaign highlights Thailand's tropical fruits, such as durian, mangosteen, and mangoes, along with a variety of other food products. It aims to introduce authentic Thai flavors to UAE consumers and promote Thailand's agricultural and culinary heritage.
## Event Details
Running until May 31, 2026, the festival spans 10 Al Maya stores across the UAE. It features a range of Thai products, including beverages, sauces, snacks, and ready-to-eat items, with promotional offers available.
## Strategic Goals
This initiative is part of Thailand's strategy to support exporters and boost consumer access to quality Thai products. It seeks to enhance the visibility of Thai goods in the competitive UAE market, where they compete with imports from various countries.
## Official Remarks
Pitichai Ratananaka, Executive Director of Thai Trade Center Dubai, emphasized the importance of long-term collaboration with UAE retailers to sustain trade growth and ensure access to quality Thai products.
## Participating Stores
The festival is hosted at several Al Maya locations, including Al Murooj, Marina, and JLT, among others. It is expected to strengthen trade relations and increase demand for Thai products in the UAE.
