## Nationwide Crackdown on Illegal Residents

Saudi Arabia has deported 11,272 individuals in a week following a nationwide crackdown on residency, labor, and border security violations. The Interior Ministry reported that these actions were part of a coordinated effort with various government agencies.

## Arrests and Violations

Between May 7 and May 13, authorities arrested 9,576 people. Among them, 4,865 were found violating residency laws, 3,319 breached border security, and 1,392 violated labor regulations. Additionally, 1,500 individuals were caught attempting to enter the country illegally, with the majority being Yemeni and Ethiopian nationals.

## Legal Consequences

The ministry highlighted that 2,311 violators were referred to their respective diplomatic missions for travel documentation, while 11,226 were processed for deportation. Furthermore, 58 individuals were detained for trying to leave the country illegally.

## Penalties for Facilitators

Authorities arrested 12 people accused of aiding illegal residents by providing transportation, shelter, or employment. The ministry warned that such actions could lead to severe penalties, including up to 15 years in prison and fines reaching SR1 million. Vehicles and properties used in these activities may also be confiscated.

## Ongoing Legal Procedures

Currently, 26,632 expatriates, comprising 25,059 men and 1,573 women, are undergoing legal procedures related to these violations. The government continues to emphasize the importance of adhering to legal residency and labor regulations to maintain national security.
