## New Luxury Development on Egypt's Coast
Abu Dhabi's Modon Holding, in collaboration with Montage Hotels & Resorts, has announced a new luxury resort and branded residences project at Ras El Hekma on Egypt's Mediterranean coast. This marks Montage's first venture into the Egyptian market.
## Project Details
The Montage Ras El Hekma will feature 200 guestrooms and suites, along with 96 branded residences available for purchase. The development is part of the larger $35 billion Ras El Hekma masterplan, which spans 170.8 million square meters and aims to attract $110 billion in investment by 2045.
## Resort Features
The resort will offer beachfront lagoons, a Spa Montage with 13 treatment rooms, six dining venues, retail spaces, event areas, and an exclusive clubhouse for residents. The residences will include villas with three to six bedrooms, located in the Wadi Yemm precinct.
## Strategic Partnership
Bill O’Regan, CEO of Modon Holding, emphasized that this partnership aligns with their vision to establish Ras El Hekma as a prime Mediterranean destination. Montage International's CEO, Alan Fuerstman, highlighted the significance of this project in their global expansion strategy.
## Broader Development Plans
Ras El Hekma is being developed as a mixed-use coastal city, featuring residential areas, tourism infrastructure, marinas, cultural sites, and a business district. The project is expected to significantly boost Egypt's economy, contributing $25 billion annually to the GDP and creating around 750,000 jobs upon completion.
