## Campaign Against Begging
Sharjah Police have initiated a campaign to combat begging during Ramadan, under the theme "Begging is a Crime, and Giving is a Responsibility." This initiative, in collaboration with the anti-begging committee, aims to raise awareness about the dangers of begging and its impact on community safety.
## Encouraging Responsible Giving
Authorities are urging residents to contribute to charity through official channels rather than giving to beggars. The campaign highlights the importance of supporting licensed charities and humanitarian organizations to ensure donations are used appropriately.
## Community Involvement
The police emphasize the role of community cooperation in curbing begging. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities related to begging by contacting the toll-free number 901. The campaign will run until the end of the Eid Al Fitr holiday, aiming to maintain public security and social stability.
