## New Pipeline Initiative

The United Arab Emirates is advancing the construction of a significant pipeline project aimed at doubling the export capacity of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) through Fujairah. This West-East pipeline is expected to be operational by 2027.

## Leadership and Strategic Decisions

The decision to expedite the pipeline's completion was made during a meeting chaired by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. The meeting, held at ADNOC's headquarters, focused on maintaining safe operations and ensuring a reliable energy supply to both local and international markets.

## Additional Developments

In addition to the pipeline, progress was noted on the TA’ZIZ Phase 1 chemicals ecosystem in Al Ruwais Industrial City. This project is set to enhance domestic value chains and produce 4.7 million tonnes of industrial chemicals annually by 2028. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to support local businesses and prioritize products made in the UAE.
