Space42 revenue rises as satellite services gain from $700 million contract

## Revenue Growth

Space42, an Abu Dhabi-listed company specializing in AI-powered SpaceTech, reported a significant increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2026. The company's revenue reached $116 million, driven by a 15% rise in its Space Services division. This marks the fourth consecutive quarter of revenue growth.

## Key Contract and Satellite Launch

The growth was largely attributed to a $700 million, 15-year capacity services contract initiated in July 2025, following the launch of the Thuraya-4 satellite. This satellite is one of the largest geostationary mobile satellite services platforms and is expected to support 16 new products, boosting future revenue.

## Strategic Partnerships and Innovations

Space42 is advancing its capabilities through strategic partnerships, including the formation of Equatys with Viasat. This collaboration aims to provide global satellite connectivity using 5G non-terrestrial network technology. Additionally, Space42 is expanding its AI-powered geospatial platforms and autonomous mobility solutions.

## Financial Position and Future Prospects

The company ended the quarter with over $1 billion in cash and $6.4 billion in contracted future revenues. This strong financial position supports ongoing investments in satellite infrastructure and AI technologies. Space42's Managing Director, Karim Michel Sabbagh, highlighted the company's resilience and strategic focus amid regional challenges.

## Expansion in Geospatial and Mobility Sectors

Space42 is also focusing on geospatial analytics and AI, with the completion of in-orbit testing for several satellites. The company is collaborating with the International Fund for Houbara Conservation to use aerial imaging for wildlife monitoring. Furthermore, Space42 is enhancing its autonomous mobility partnerships, including a project with Abu Dhabi Mobility to develop a mapping platform for smart city planning.
