## Incident Overview
A man in his 30s was arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly murdering his ex-wife, a 29-year-old IT professional. The attack occurred on Wednesday when the suspect broke into her apartment armed with knives. Police described the incident as premeditated.
## Background and Motive
The suspect reportedly held a grudge against his former wife due to a domestic violence case she filed, which he believed disrupted his life and prevented his return to Canada. The couple, who married in 2022, had a turbulent relationship, leading to their divorce in 2024. The woman remarried in 2025.
## Planning and Execution
The accused allegedly tracked his ex-wife's movements online and moved to Hyderabad two months prior to the attack. He conducted surveillance of her residence before the incident. On the day of the murder, he forced entry into her apartment and locked himself in a room with her before carrying out the fatal stabbing.
## Police Response
Family members alerted authorities, who arrived to find the suspect threatening to set the room on fire. After negotiations, he surrendered and was taken into custody. The victim's second husband claimed she was pregnant, but this has not been confirmed.
