## Overview of Results

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 12 examination results for 2026. This year, the overall pass rate is 85.20%, a decrease from the previous year's 88.39%.

## Student Participation and Performance

Out of 1,780,365 students who registered, 1,768,968 appeared for the exams, and 1,507,109 successfully passed. This represents a decline of 3.19 percentage points from 2025, when 1,496,307 students passed.

## Gender Performance Gap

Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 88.86%, compared to 82.13% for boys. The difference in performance between genders is 6.73 percentage points.
