## New Guidelines for Job Transfers
The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has issued new guidelines for workers looking to change jobs after their employment contracts end. These rules clarify the conditions under which workers can transfer to a new employer.
## Grace Period and Work Permit Ban
Workers are allowed to stay in the UAE during a grace period after their contract ends, giving them time to find new employment or leave the country. However, a one-year ban on obtaining a new work permit may be imposed if a worker leaves during the probation period without proper notice or if they are found to have abandoned their job.
## Flexible Work Arrangements
The ministry's guidance also allows for employment contracts to be converted between various work models, such as full-time, part-time, and remote work, provided both parties agree and financial obligations from the original contract are settled.
## Legal Consequences for Work Stoppages
The ministry cautions against "random work stoppages," warning that participation in such actions could lead to legal repercussions, including fines and deportation. Workers are encouraged to resolve disputes through official legal channels.
