## New Traffic Regulation in Ajman

Ajman Police have announced a new traffic regulation imposing a Dh500 fine on drivers who fail to move their vehicles after minor accidents. This measure is part of the "Move Your Vehicle After a Minor Accident" campaign, which aims to educate drivers on the importance of clearing roads promptly.

## Campaign Details

The initiative, led by the Traffic and Patrols Department, will run until the end of June 2026. It seeks to reduce traffic congestion and prevent secondary accidents by encouraging motorists to move their cars to the side of the road after minor collisions that do not result in injuries.

## Road Safety and Traffic Flow

Lieutenant Colonel Fouad Al Khajah, head of the Traffic and Patrols Department, emphasized that leaving vehicles in the middle of the road can disrupt traffic flow and increase congestion, especially during peak hours. The campaign highlights that road safety is a shared responsibility and requires cooperation from all road users.

## Awareness Efforts

Ajman Police are conducting awareness programs through media outlets and social media platforms, alongside field awareness drives by traffic patrol officers. These efforts aim to educate motorists on the correct procedures to follow after minor accidents, ensuring roads are cleared quickly and traffic remains smooth and safe across the emirate.
